Leave a Legacy
Leave a gift for the people of Sussex in your will
Including the Sussex Community Foundation in your will is an ideal way of giving something back to your own community.
All legacy gifts are invested and the proceeds used to make grants to support local people year after year. This means your gift will make a difference not just once but for many generations to come.
Legacy gifts of any size are most welcome. You can also leave an item of value such as shares, property or other investments. There may also be tax benefits - your gift will be tax-free and could reduce the total amount of tax paid on your estate.
You can choose between leaving a donation to an existing fund. Alternatively a gift of £25,000 or more can be used to set up a Named Fund. This enables you to choose the name of your fund and the causes you want to benefit. The Foundation will ensure that grants are awarded according to your wishes and your Fund will continue to be a lasting legacy for the communities of Sussex.
