Southern Water is hosting the Super Irish Race day at Fontwell Park racecourse, near Arundel on Saturday 2 October 2010.

Over eighty guests enjoyed warm sunshine in the Bishop’s Palace Garden at a reception hosted by the Bishop of Chichester for Sussex Community Foundation.
The event celebrated the important work of local community groups funded by The Foundation.
Groups included Bognor CAN, which helps families in a disadvantaged area of Bognor and used their grant to provide martial arts classes for children. During the evening guests were treated to a lively demonstration of their skills.
Chief Executive of the Foundation, Kevin Richmond explained to guests how the groups represented showed the strength of Sussex Community Foundation in getting funding to smaller groups. “These local community groups make a great difference with a small amount of money”.
He also reinforced the current opportunity for donors to double their giving through the Grassroots Endowment Challenge whereby all donations to endowment can be matched pound for pound and used to provide ongoing grant funding.
