Community Foundation Network
Sussex Community Foundation is a member of the Community Foundation Network which represents the community foundation movement in the UK. Its aim is to help clients create lasting value from their local giving through the network of community foundations.
The network has grown rapidly over recent years. Some 95 per cent of the population lives in the area of benefit of a community foundation. It is one of the largest funders of community organisations in the UK making nearly £70m of grants a year.
The Community Foundation Network (CFN) aims to promote the concept of community foundations in the UK, stimulate and support their growth and best practice, and give support to individual community foundations and their networking with others.
CFN’s objective is to ensure a network of thriving community foundations throughout the UK, each one able to strengthen their local community through strategic grant-making and excellent service provision to donors.
